Open the Google Maps app on your Android or iOS device. Tap your profile picture or letter in the top-right corner and choose Your Timeline. This will show you a list of all your visited places. 2.

In the search bar, enter a destination or tap it on the map. Follow the on-screen instructions to help Maps find your location. Tip: Point your phone camera at buildings and signs across the street, instead of trees and people. Once Maps knows where you are, you'll get directions through the camera view on your screen.

On your computer, open Google Maps. Type an address or name of a place. To filter your search results, use the drop-down menus below the search box.

Start with just a rough outline using straight lines to sketch out the landmasses. When you've gotten the outline just the way you want it, go over it again to create a more detailed outline (typically a bit wavy) depicting coasts and borders.
